Overview
The Radiological Protection Training Scheme (RPTS) is designed to provide the initial training for those wishing to become certificated as Radiation Protection or Radioactive Waste Advisers. The course also meets the needs of the widest range of radiation protection professionals in maintaining their skills and developing further skills in specific areas of radiation protection.
The scheme is comprised of three modules: The Core of Knowledge, Professional Development and the Specialist module. The modules are delivered throughout the year by leading experts and specialists at our training centres at Chilton in Oxfordshire.
Expertly designed and structured courses
The modules are made up of short courses specifically designed to meet the needs of radiation protection professionals. All courses are classroom based and the majority are assessed by written examination. All courses are certificated.
As well as learning from lectures delivered by experts in their field, knowledge is reinforced through collaborative exercises that solve practical real-world problems. The courses also provide an ideal opportunity to meet people from different organisations and backgrounds. The courses deliver comprehensive underpinning radiation protection expertise for the widest application, range of industries and organisations.
