UKHSA can collect environmental samples from any source in the UK and across Europe. We can collect dust and particulate samples using portable air monitors or analyse samples provided by you.
We are one of the few laboratories to hold UKAS accreditation for sample collection, guaranteeing you a high quality service at all points in the analysis process. In many cases the first procedure is to both stabilise and homogenise the sample before further sub-sampling and analysis.
UKHSA has a well-equipped sample preparation laboratory fitted with freeze driers, ball mills, crushers and blenders to ensure that samples are prepared to the required standard before analysis is carried out.
We offer both accredited and non-accredited sampling services depending on your needs. Contact us to discuss your specific requirements.
Below are the samples types UKHSA commonly analyse. If the UKAS accredited sampling you require is not detailed below, we'll arrange it for you. A list of UKAS accredited analyses can be found in accreditation schedules in quality assurance.
